An 18-year veteran of database marketing, data quality and CDI, Mr. Allburn has worked in senior Experian and strategic management positions for industry leaders such as Customer Insight Company/Metromail, IBM TJ Watson Research Center, Firstlogic, Group 1 Software and others. During his career Mr. Allburn has been responsible for over 200 successful CDI projects in banking, telecom, catalog and other industries. Ed Allburn is an international speaker contributor to DM Review and other publications.

Martin Gutberlet, Research Vice President

Role/Responsibility
Martin Gutberlet is a research vice president and agenda manager in Gartner, where he covers mobile and fixed business. In particular, his research focuses on the fixed and mobile operator market worldwide, carrier strategies and on the services offered to enterprise customers for voice and data.

Bio
Mr. Gutberlet has considerable industry experience with vendors, network operators and enterprises. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Gutberlet worked as partner and director of telecommunications for an international management consulting company. Formerly, he worked for several years with a global telecommunications supplier, performing the roles of product and customer solution manager and international account management positions. During that time he was accountable for assisting emerging telecommunication operators into the German market. These included new entrants and existing global players in both the wireless and wireline communication areas. Before that, Mr. Gutberlet worked with a German telecom vendor as a technical account engineer responsible for the design of public network architectures. In 1992, he cofounded an IT company for distribution of computer hardware. He was also sales representative for a German reseller, where he was responsible for semiconductor and electrical devices.
